SAN JOSE (CelebrityAccess MediaWire) — Nederlander Concerts has named Max McAndrew to the position of director of talent for San Jose where he will oversee programming at the San Jose Civic Auditorium.

Prior to signing with Nederlander, McAndrew worked as a talent buyer at the House of Blues in Las Vegas where he worked with former Live Nation man Alex Hodges, currently COO at Nederlander.

"Having Max McAndrew join Nederlander Concerts is terrific," said Alex Hodges. "I’ve worked with Max at House of Blues, and he is a talented promoter and buyer. He has thrived in a highly competitive market, and this will serve him well in San Jose. His experience in the agency field compliments his efforts because he understands the needs of artists, agents and managers."

McAndrew also has some experience in the festival field, having booked and promoted the sports and music festival, Extreme Thing 2008 & 2009.

"San Jose is a terrific market that has been under-served for talent at a venue the size of the San Jose Civic Auditorium," said McAndrew in a statement. "The 3,000 to 3,400 capacity range is perfectly suited with other Nederlander venues in California and for San Jose." – CelebrityAccess Staff Writers
