On Friday, the wide receiver and tight end ratings for EA Sports' Madden 21 were revealed.

New Orleans Saints wide receiver Michael Thomas leads all wide receivers with a 99 rating, followed by DeAndre Hopkins (Arizona Cardinals, 98) and Julio Jones (Atlanta Falcons, 97).

Kansas City Chiefs Pro Bowler Tyreek Hill (rated 96 overall) led all receivers with a speed rating of 99. Las Vegas Raiders rookie Henry Ruggs III had the second best speed rating at 98.

Unsurprisingly, San Francisco 49ers superstar George Kittle topped all tight ends with a rating of 98. He was followed by Travis Kelce (Chiefs, 97) and Rob Gronkowski (Tampa Bay Buccaneers, 95), who came out of a one-year retirement to reunite with Tom Brady. Zach Ertz (Philadelphia Eagles, 90) was the only other tight end to garner a rating in the 90s.

Thomas, who's earned back to back First-Team All-Pro selections, led the NFL in catches during the 2018 and 2019 seasons. He set the single-season record for catches with 149 in 2019, while leading the NFL with 1,725 yards en route to Offensive Player of the Year honors.

Kittle, widely regarded as the best tight end in football today, is coming off his second straight Pro Bowl season. He recorded 85 catches for 1,053 yards and five touchdowns, leading San Francisco to a Super Bowl LIV appearance - where they fell to the Chiefs.

In 2018, Kelce set the single-season record for receiving yards by a tight end with 1,377. Not only is he a dangerous playmaker in the passing game, but Kittle is one of the best blockers the tight end position has ever seen.

Aside from Thomas, Aaron Donald (Los Angeles Rams defensive tackle), Christian McCaffrey (Carolina Panthers running back), Patrick Mahomes (Chiefs quarterback) and Stephon Gilmore (New England Patriots cornerback) also received 99 ratings for Madden 21.

Baltimore Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson, who won the 2019 league MVP award, will be on the cover of Madden 21.
