American indie-folk band Bon Iver announced the cancellation of their upcoming European tour earlier today. The band, founded by Justin Vernon in 2007, shared the news on their twitter “with great regret”.

The tour was set to kick off in Paris on January 22 and finish in London on February 20, consisting of 21 shows in 11 countries. Frontman Justin Vernon’s appearance on A Prairie Home Companion on January 14 is cancelled as well.

The band ended their message about the cancellation with a reassuring “we will be back”, which leads fans to expect that their performance at Coachella – which was only announced yesterday – and other planned festival performances over the summer will go on as planned.

Tickets will be refunded at the point of purchase and it looks like none of the tour dates are going to be rescheduled.
